Competition positions

Postby Steve on Thu Nov 13, 2008 11:49 am

Instead of having one peg for sitting and two for kneeling how about having some more variety, like one for prone/sitting, one for sitting/kneeling, one for kneeling/standing?

That way there is more variety and if someone has a problem in getting in one the positions they have a choice, albeit a less stable one.

Hi Steve

If anyone has any problems getting into a position that phsically causes them any major discomfort (not just because they are crap at shooting in that position :D ) then they may shoot the lane in an alternative stance.
Prone=sitting.
Kneeling=standing

Mixed stances on a lane is a good idea and we could give it a bash at the winter trophy and I'll keep it in mind when I'm planning the course.

Some suggestions occurred to me as a consequence of this thread.
I shall use the interim period to mull them over and expand upon at some point later.
Would handstands be considered strenuous?

Depends if your a 16 yr old cheerleader, though the resulting heart attacks from other members would probably be considered strenuous. If we ever need to cull the membership back a bit I'll bare it in mind.
